Unfortunately John Key and Timmy Groser do not see the big picture, they are like babes in the woods.
One question asked but not answered in the debate was how would government members benefit from passing the TPPA implying that they would not do it unless it was good for NZ as there was no benefit to them personally. This is unanswerable as we rely on the individuals integrity in situations like this. It is notable however that the USA operates a virtual revolving door between powerful government and regulatory positions and companies like Goldman Sachs.
