  1. ‘Australia may legalize medical marijuana in August – report’

    https://www.rt.com/news/310768-australia-marijuana-medical-legalise/

“A Senate committee representing all Australia’s major parties is preparing a Regulator of Medicinal Cannabis Bill to legalize medical marijuana, despite warnings of regulatory complications with both Australian and international law, a report says.
The committee includes the Coalition (the Liberal Party, the National Party, the Northern Territory Country Liberal Party, and Queensland Liberal branch the Liberal National Party), the Labor Party and crossbench senators. They will “strongly recommend” parliament pass a cross-party bill setting up a medical marijuana regulator, the Sydney Morning Herald reports, citing Fairfax Media sources close to the legislation debate.

Today, over two-thirds of Australians support the idea of medical marijuana use and only 9 percent oppose it, a recent survey by Palliative Care Australia has found.

The leader of Australia Greens, Richard Di Natale, initiated the bill in November last year. The committee received the bill in February and after conducting public hearings and attracting nearly 200 public submissions, it is set to present its report on August 10…

  2. Interesting poll out on the weekend, pretty much showing the song at the moment remains the same with the only bright spot being the slide in the Prime Ministers measured popularity,

Should such a slide continue to tarnish the slippery teflon coating that the Prime Minister has been blessed with for the past 7 years this will eventually translate into a loss of votes for National,

Labour tho have little to celebrate,(excuse the unintended pun), its foray into racial profiling over the price of housing in Auckland which the period of the Reid poll would have covered has shown its polling remain flat,

We could i suppose be relieved that there was no apparent slide in support for Labour, BUT, i would suggest that there is a danger that such a slide in support could well be hidden by the polling methodology where few of those of asian ethnicity may have actually been questioned as to their voting preferences,

This methodology may be what has also shown a slide in support for the Maori Party which would lose an MP given this polls translation into an actual vote which i do not at this point believe will occur,

The election of James Shaw, who has the stated intention of doubling the Green Party membership, as co-Leader has seen that Party pretty much as expected holding its level of support which i believe is pretty much a ‘glass ceiling’ for the Greens which will only be broken through should the electorate as a whole take a sharp swing to the Left,

So, if Labour were gambling on a bump in the polls with its NZFirst’s eye view of the Auckland house price over-inflation the political capital doesn’t seem to have been well spent,

The next couple of polls which will cover the period of the ongoing mess that Serco is rubbing the Government’s face in surrounding the goings on at Mt Eden Prison will make interesting reading,

My view is that it is back-pocket issues that will win or lose the next election for Labour,(putting aside the vexed question of an either way NZFirst and that Party’s attitude to both the Green and Maori Party’s for the moment), and, Labour has very little,(there i go again), it can offer in the way of incentives to chisel 2-5% of Nationals support away from the Governing Party,

Radical Labour aint, but, if that Party has little,(snigger), hope of ripping away from National the bloated middle class then it has little choice,(this has to end), other than the purchase of the long weight of that old joke, or, talk directly to the missing million who have withheld their votes in previous elections,

(1), a 5000 house yearly State House build in Auckland pointed directly at the low waged working demographic,(remove the tenants from the housing equation thus giving the speculators less of a reason to hold property),

(2), redistribute a further $25-$30 of Working For Families over a first term from the top earners to those earning the least,

(3), legislate a system of awards for low waged workers across
industry groups after a tripartite Government/Union/Employer negotiation,

That i would suggest is where Labour need be seeking that 2-5% of voter support to ensure a change of Government in 2017…

  3. Future Transport…the Greenies’ motorbike? If they can do this for a motorbike why not a car?

Miracle motorbike that goes 500km… on a liter of water! (VIDEO)

    https://www.rt.com/news/310724-motorcycle-water-runs-kilometers/

“A Brazilian man, Ricardo Azevedo from Sao Paulo, has shown off his wonder bike to the world. The magic machine can travel up to 500 kilometers on a liter of water.
The so-called “T Power H20” vehicle is powered by water and an external car battery to produce electricity and split the hydrogen from the water molecules…

  4. @bad12 – and if you can’t see that National is f***king the country over, then you are either blind, stupid, or both.

    • Kim Dandy, what is this pathetic personal attack about???, your sniveling little piece of un-intelligent, ineffectual invective lacks for a start any context,

If you are belatedly replying to my take of the latest political poll released upon the weekend even the dullest of commenters would have posted your spill of puerile trash as a reply using the appropriate reply tab,

As i was commenting directly to a political poll i see no need whatsoever to mount an attack on National who other than where i indicated are in the poll commented upon, doing quite ok in terms of that poll,

The fact that you have nothing to say except low level personal abuse points more to you, rather than myself, as being both blind and stupid…

  5. 1000% Kim Dandy

FJK is setting NZ up as another Create, Greece Spain. Portugal, Ireland, Iceland and Puerto Rico.

This is by his weekly borrowing from shady overseas financial maggots and we wonder if he knows his crown Debt has reached $100 Billion now?

All this while he is selling everything he can get to sell before he shoves off to NY again.

Is that why he has bought into NY and also used taxpayers money to build a NZ ambassadors home there to????

He wants to take up residence there when his corrupt work for Global Corporations is done?

  6. I haven’t trusted any poll since this corrupt National Government got in power! ….and it is SO obvious New Zealand has changed for the worst over the last 7 years, it is hard to keep my temper when others defend them.

    • @ KIM DANDY – Spot on. I’m of the same mind as you here, as I’m sure many other Kiwis are!

With all the scandals surrounding NatzKEY cabinet ministers – Key, Collins, Williams et al, you’d think the government would be a goner by now! But no, they are still there by the grace of dirty politics and corruption!

Something isn’t right and I can’t quite put my finger on what’s keeping NatzKEY in business. Whatever it is, it will be down to slime and sleaze!

However, nothing lasts forever and I’m hoping this will be the case with this filthy, treacherous lot, much sooner than later!
