    still afford to buy up the farms and aid vertical integration of the supply chain.

    • Because the Chinese have massive amounts of foreign currency from their positive balance of payments, they can buy our farms at any price you care to name. The only way to stop this is to ban the purchase of any land or realty in NZ. Unfortunately the present government is idealogically oppose to such ideas.
      If this government is not removed at the next election I see no hope for NZ.

  2. In the first working week of the year, by the end of the Wednesday (three days) of that week Theo Spierings, the Fonterra CEO, will have earned more than 50% of New Zealanders will earn in a year.
