Why on earth is Spark celebrating 10 years of hate speech?

Some brands just seem to have no idea do they?

…Spark is celebrating a decade of Cameron Slater’s hate speech by giving him some phones to give away.

How ugly and septic is that?

10 years of taking tobacco money and booze money and sugar money to smear and attack public health advocates. 10 years of slandering public servants. 10 years of racism, sexism and classism. 10 years of anti-Union hate speech. 10 years of climate change denial. 10 years of Islamaphobia. 10 years of beneficiary bashing.

How can Spark forget all this?

Remember when Slater described a Kings student who drank himself to death as “a toffee-nosed school boy, a dead thief and a liar who couldn’t handle his piss. I always said King’s boys were poofs.”

Remember when Slater published all the details of businessman Matt Blomfield whose stolen computer he somehow obtained?

Remember when he was convicted of breaching a variety of name suppression orders?

Remember when Slater published the personal employment details of a wharf protestor?

Remember when Slater posted a fake Green Party press release that inspired threats of violence against Russel Norman?

Remember when Slater publicized a doctored interview with Jim Anderton edited into Anderton saying an earthquake would need to strike for him to lose the Christchurch mayoralty?

Remember when Slater was wanting looters in Christchurch to be shot in the stomach so that the death would be slow and painful?

Remember when he claimed Chris Carter’s mother who was dead for 12 years was still using a taxpayer cell phone?

Remember when Slater was caught out trawling brothels for Journalists?

Remember when Slater got caught hacking into the Labour Party server?

Remember when Slater got caught trying to do a hit job on the head of the SFO?

Remember when Slater was leaked false information from the SIS to falsely smear the leader of the Opposition months before the 2011 election?

Remember when Slater got accused of paying an IT specialist $9100 to hack the Standard?

Spark are celebrating Slater’s 10 years of hate speech party which he is charging $150 a ticket for. I guess the cost is so high because Slater pays out nearly $10 000 to lonely IT specialists.

I’ve been invited to Slater’s hate fest. It reminds me of the time Jordan Williams of the Taxpayers ‘Union’ invited me to go hunting with him and Simon Lusk.

I’ll tell Slater the same thing I said to Jordan, ‘Not until hell freezes over’. Anyone wanting to ‘celebrate’ the kind of hate and venom Slater has injected into the political body of NZ would also enjoy torturing puppies.

I have no time for the kind of sadism Slater and his ilk lather themselves in.

Shame on you Spark. Shame.

  1. Are Spark undergoing hard financial times and are they this desperate?!!?

We all know the adage ‘ all publicity is good publicity ‘…..but this is kinda scraping the barrel a bit….

    Geez….

  2. This shows that when we privatise a former state corporation or public service the services decline until they wind up as a cesspool of toxic waste like Spark is today.

it didn’t take even two years????

    • Hi there Mark – that was almost half a decade ago well before the revelations in Dirty Politics and I think if you view those shows Slater was always grilled harshly – not the patsy crap like Seven Sharp did on him

  3. Write a complaint to Spark about it. If they get enough complaints they might grow a bit worried.
