….”Documents released by Wikileaks in March revealed the secret TPPA has a clause known as Investor State Dispute Settlement (ISDS). It means if Parliament votes for greater environmental protections, health regulations or rules to assist local businesses – anything that can be seen to interfere with foreign corporations’ investments – they can sue New Zealand.
But thanks to the growing groundswell in public concern, opposition to the TPPA is growing.
