The August blog stats are in, and The Daily Blog retains our position as the largest left wing blog in NZ with 416 374 visits last month and 667 411. Kiwi Blog who has been operating for a decade with a far larger digital footprint to generate google searches from, had 597  964 visitors. In only a year, we are now nipping at the heels of David Farrar.

I hasten to note that these are real stats, not the questionable stats Slater has been challenged over. I recall before Dirty Politics was released, Slater was boasting to show us how to generate more traffic. We declined his offer with a go-take-a-running-jump.

This is our final push for contributions for this election. You’ve seen the extent of what we are up against in Dirty Politics and if you believe The Daily Blog is providing an important alternative to the mainstream media this election, then please contribute what you can.

We are trying to do this full time for  the election and it costs a bloody arm and a leg.

If you are in a position to contribute – please do so here.

A huge thank you to our bloggers who provide such brilliant insight and our readers who keep coming back.

Many respects.

  1. Would if I could but I can’t. Unfortunately I’m one of those Winz bludgers, finding myself in this position after my husband was severely beaten up by by two thugs, and now having to look after him. Who incidentally walk away with no repercussions due to their protection by the ‘men in blue’.
But thank you all for what you do. Please keep up the good work.
