National has had 6 long years in power. That is plenty of time to make our country great, for us to be the envy of other countries, for our clean green innovative country to be a world leader in getting it right. So Mr. Key, just what have you done for NZ in that time?
We have staggering child poverty rates of 1 in 4 children, you raised GST and cut working for families, which I am certain helps contribute to not being able to feed our country’s kids. You have done nothing for low and middle income earners, nothing. We have debt of $65 billion, and you still haven’t balanced the books. Cronyism and favouritism is rife, the gap between the wealthy and the rest of us is the widest it has ever been. There were tax cuts for the top 10%. You have literally given away millions and millions of dollars to your big business mates. You bailed out Rio Tinto to the tune of $30million and South Canterbury finance. You almost bankrupted Solid Energy allowing it to rack up $389million in debt, causing Spring Creek mine to close, forcing 400 people in a small town out of work, my husband being one of them. You sold our assets, reducing our country’s income after ignoring a citizens initiated referendum on it. Under employment is rising, youth unemployment is at 20%, youth suicide remains high. You reduced mines inspectors basically allowing Pike River to blow up, then denied those families compensation. There were 11 forestry deaths on your watch last year alone, 11 too many. Profits over people with your government, always.
You have introduced the 90 day trial period for new employees, allowing employers to abuse this. Protesting at sea is now banned, as you continue to issue new drilling permits and open up our forest parks for destruction, all whilst not having to notify anybody. You passed the GCSB Bill allowing any one of us to be spied on at any time, whilst selling our sovereignty behind closed doors with the TPPA negotiations. You passed under ridiculous haste the psychoactive substances bill, well we all know how well that turned out after you recently had to fix that mess after serious public pressure due to the damage it has caused in our communities, helping your rich mates out as we recently discover that you hang out with Grant Hall, a manufacturer of ex legal highs who makes 1000% profit on those nasty substances. Many of our teachers still suffer the debacle that is Novopay, and then you introduced charter schools to us, that you now give money to. The Christchurch rebuild is an utter shambles that you continue to ignore. Those poor people.
Corruption in your party appears to be alive and well it would seem. Maurice Williamson tried to influence police over domestic violence charges for a wealthy businessman who it seems can donate to National for immigration favours for his mates from Michael Woodhouse. As Oravida donates $80,000 and seems to gain business help by having a friendship with Judith Collins, once again proving that for National money really can get you political favours. Shame you don’t help those of us who really need it but can’t afford to buy it.
Believe it or not I could go on, there is more. It does leave me wondering Mr Key just exactly what you have done for the betterment of New Zealand society? From where I sit, not much.

Sexually violent crimes have increased by 10.6%, and you cut the funding to the services who look after the victims of these heinous crimes!
In fact John Key. you have done such a poor job of looking after the most vulnerable in our NZ society, that the UN are calling you to account for this in September this year.
I wonder if this is the very reason why you chose September for the election date.
Opinion.
Knowing what we know now about National and the levels of cronyism, personal interference for money and conflicting influence it scares the living daylights out of me as to what they are agreeing to on our behalf with this TPPA. They simply cannot be trusted.
But you have to give it to them. With such a resounding lack of achievements in nearly 6 years or ideas to take NZ forward National have created and managed a charade of looking in control and hence still poll highly. Maybe its all that money and influence!
Don’t forget the blatant Sky City corruption. Then removing the Gambling Foundation’s secular services and giving them to the get-clean-find-Jesus Salvation Army.
Also, failure to crack down on property speculation i.e. Capital Gains Tax.
This probably comes under the cronyism heaing but let’s not forget the Skycity convention center/pokie machine deal, in my opinion started the rot for this government and would be the shonkiest most irresponsible deal any government has entered into

We have to get this fascist Govt out in Sept and the new “working Poor” who use to be the working class, will then get their voices back! It is going to take a huge effort and time to undo all the destruction this Govt has rort upon us, but we have to do it for the survival of this wonderful country and nation!

I notice recently this government has had the gall to blame the prior government for some of NZ’s problems, pretty pathetic after six long years with them at the helm.
One item I would add is that this government has done nothing to prevent the likely extinction of Maui’s dolphin, the rarest in the world, but their collective actions suggest that New Zealand’s clean green reputation means nothing to them.
