The real questions over exactly what Slater & Co were really up to and how many high ranking National Party leaders were involved are yet to be answered.

The way has just been cleared for Bevan Chuang to lay a complaint against those in the Polino camp, including John Polino himself. Polino had accused Chuang of being a liar in her account of their late night meeting in a Mission Bay carpark in which Chuang claimed Polino detailed a plot to blackmail the Mayor, Len Brown, into stepping down and use ill health as an excuse.
With the removal of any threat of charges coming back on her, as her involvement was as an unwilling partner, Bevan Chuang is now free to lay a formal complaint with the police against those who callously manipulated and used her to further their plot to blackmail the Mayor.
Will we also see Luigi Wewege joining John Polino in taking an “extended” vacation out of the country?

You know the americans sure aren’t right about everything but they seem to have had one decent insight: a slater is just a woodlouse.

There seems to be a prima facie case for blackmail but a private citizen would probably have to take the case.
Having read that article in yesterday’s Herald on this man, where he denied all wrongdoings, claimed he only “passed on information”, that he never thought Bevan Chaung would disclose all those detailed sexual bits about her encounters with Brown, I knew straight away, this man is a compulsive liar and cheat. He is one of the worst human characters you can come across, he fits perfectly the white collar crime image of persons walking around in white shirts and with ties around their necks.
No surprise then, that soon after that interview, he let the journalist now, he is off on the next plane, to probably never come back here.
This guy should be investigated, he should be held to account for being involved and possibly even masterminding using “scandalous” information of a sexual nature to blackmail Len Brown to step down, before he would resume the role of mayor again after an election.
I see criminal behaviour there, and it is astonishing, that we have police spend time on investigating a freelance journalist on an accidental “tea cup conversation” between the PM and one John Banks years ago, but do nothing here.
New Zealand seems to have been turned into a fertile ground for any kinds of fraudsters and political spin masters, who use all kinds of questionable means to attack opponents.
While I still hold Chaung accountable for her agendas, this man seems to be the main culprit behind the “Len Brown scandal”, and Palino cannot be far behind him!
Could Wewege be extradited?
