Headline: Naenae Legal Highs Petition
Concerns have been raised with me that the Naenae Coin Save shop in Hillary Court is selling legal highs. The shop is very close to the playground, the library, the swimming pool, a church and on the main route from Naenae College and Naenae Intermediate School.
Included in the law passed recently is a provision for local communities to have a say about where legal high retailers can be located.
The law allows councils to adopt a plan that designates where legal highs can and cannot be sold. I think we all agree they should not be sold in this location.
Add your name to the growing number of people asking our council to work with us on a plan that will keep a lid on the number of legal high stores, restrict where they can be located and if possible, get rid of them.
