On Citizen A this week: Martyn Bradbury is joined this week by Dr Wayne Hope and Conservative Party leader Colin Craig to discuss the following issues:

  • What’s the future for the Maori Party and what are the ramifications for National with its coalition friends falling apart?
  • New legislation giving the GCSB extensive spying powers is currently before Parliament, why are New Zealanders so apathetic to this law?
  • If the Auckland central rail link is such a good idea why aren’t we starting construction of it now instead of deferring it until 2020?

Citizen A broadcasts weekly on FaceTV and webcasts on The Daily Blog and TDBLive.

  1. Omg I can’t believe I agree with Colin Craig on something.

    NZ isn’t apathetic.

It’s just being told over and over that it is.

Which ironically suits only corrupt interests, for us to think that about ourselves and each other.

YES WE WERE UNDER THREAT BY TERRORISTS – THEY BLEW UP THE RAINBOW WARRIOR AND WHERE THE HELL WAS THE GCSB THEN??

    Useless overpaid pretenders.

The worst part is that when they capture “Everything” they capture EVERYTHING. The data of children. The data of the elderly. The data of students. The data of business people. The data of housewives.

They don’t have the right to any of it. We need to take our data back. Literally. It should be our right to govern our own data just as we govern our own bodies. They are one and the same.

Time to ditch the Nanny State. The one run by Labour, the one run by National; who are two faces on the same deck of cards.

  2. most people understand that hitting children is bad.

But people do not understand the consequences of corporations and governments spying on us. Corporations are private tyrannies, and for them to have complete information over us could lead to things like them choosing weather to hire someone or not before they even interview them.

The population does not understand that spying will lead to a completely filtered society.
