The following blog is speculation.

Yesterday I suggested that Dunne didn’t leak the GCSB report to Andrea Vance and that the ‘Blue Patriots’ did.

Who are the ‘Blue Patriots’?

Let’s say that deep within the National Party is a conscience. Let’s call them ‘Blue Patriots’. These are the same core people involved with leaking the emails to Nicky Hager that were the basis of ‘The Hollow Men’. They leaked once they understood the depth and level of extremism Don Brash was prepared to unleash if he became Prime Minister, these Blue Patriots couldn’t in good conscience allow Brash to do that and so exposed him and the lengths to which he was prepared to go to for the benefit of all NZ.

Tomorrow: What motivated the Blue Patriots to leak to Andrea Vance?

    Lets call them Blue Wankers . Who the fuck are they kidding ? Do they have a pocket knife and a compass and a dog called Kip and everything ? And a tree house ? Do they have a tree house ?

      I agree it’s hard to swallow, but then there are one or two that seem to find their misplaced conscience after they leave parliament and realise that they went a step (many steps, even) too far.
      I recall that even Bolger was a little ‘circumspect with the benefit of hindsight’. (A fairly recent RNZ Sat or Sun interview from memory).

      I guess that’s how they justify it all to themselves though. McKinnon must wonder sometimes at the shite that’s going on with the current junta. (Many moons ago, McKinnon was quite interested in rehabilitation in prisons for example – to the extent of actually get involved hands on with things like debating teams, and so on. Crusher’s attitude must surely be turning his stomach now).

      And then sometimes I wonder how the likes of Chris Finlayson justify the attacks on the judiciary and democracy as we walk towards fascism.
      (I left out racism, OZ ass-licking over ‘queue jumpers’ and ‘boat people’ , etc)

      I reckon that those comparatively recent Natz MP interns (over-ambitious, wanting to brown-nose – the Bennetts, Bridges, J-L Rosses et al) get caught up in the tide of the free-market extremism, the power tripping, the populism fed by the MSM).
      Then when they have time to reflect, to walk down the street and actually notice the increase in begging, when they actually take in the figures of the ‘widening gap’ that are harder and harder to dispute – they realise that it was actually down to them.
