Keith LockeKeith Locke is a former Green MP (1999-2011). He is known as a champion of human rights and he received Amnesty International’s Human Rights Defenders Award for 2011.

Keith has been a thorn in the side of both National and Labour government with his defense of refugees (such as Ahmed Zaoui) and his opposition to the erosion of civil liberties that has accompanied the so-called ‘war on terror’. He wants New Zealand to have an independent foreign policy promoting peaceful resolution of disputes and to stop following America into wars like that in Afghanistan.
